Going grey for a day...
A trip to Irchester Country Park yesterday provided some quality nature time during our break away. There were many birds to be observed; however, the most prevelent observation were the Grey Squirrels. Dancing and sprinting on and between the trees; it was quite a display. It was quite remarkable to see just how agile they were, leaping tree-to-tree and also, just how thin a twig they could suspend themselves upon. They were notably bigger than the Red Squirrels we are used to on the Isle of Wight, which explains why the Greys have muscled out our indigenous species. Although an opinion which may draw significant contestation, I enjoyed seeing them nonetheless, as to me all nature is a thing of beauty. I got a few half-decent shots; however, none that do these little creatures justice, they move so incredibly fast!
